Ya know, blackbirds can actually be quite attractive. I found some cooperative ones this morning, at the outskirts of an area state park.

wow having never seen this species before you did a great job capturing them. Are they similar in size and characteristics to the RWBB's? My fav shot is #3 in this series.

Yup, especially if they add some yellow here and some white there :)

According to my guide books, we have these birds in our area, but I have never seen one. Nice shots Mike. I will have to look harder for these the next time I'm out.

Fascinating - never new this breed existed. Must get some more bird books to read.

That #3 with the breath vapor is way cool! I always try to capture their breath when it is cool enough - not easy to do.
