I’m new to the forum and new to digital SLR photography but not SLR photography in general. I’m guessing this question gets asked a lot, but here goes—is there a way to adapt my old Minolta lenses to my new Canon 40D? I have some more than adequate 135mm lenses that I’d love to be able to use still. My old Minoltas are the venerable T-101 and the X-370; is this a lost cause?
Thanks,
Jaybird

You may be able to find some converters for the mounts, but some have glass in them which degrades the quality(so ive heard, never used em). If I were you I would begin starting up with some Canon glass. Save up and get a nice general range zoom and you'll be set for a while. You're going to notice those lenses on that new body.

and congrats on the 40D. Its a very nice camera!
