First off - i got all my new Camera equiptment a couple days back finally. I Just went ahead and went through Best Buy. They were cheaper than Wolf Camera for the package deal if you got the NIKON D300 with the AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm lens. I already had the Mb-D10 Battery Grip, the SpeedLight SB-800, and additional rechargable batteries.

MY problem is though. I'll have my batteries being charged all day, and when i go to put them in the sliding tray that inserts into the Mb-D10, close it up, put it in the lock position, connect it to the camera, , , and doing that, it makes my camera display read low battery. (so low it wont start up)

As of now, it MIGHT be my rechargable batteries are bad . . they're having charging issues. But when they were working fine, it did the same thing when i tried the battery grip.

i should be finding out soon as to whether or not my batteries are good or not, but if anyone has any input or thoughts, it'd be greatly appreciated -

thanks

Which batteries are you using?
If they're AA's,
1) put the camera EN-EL3E in the body
2) go to the Custom Settings Menu, group D, item 10.
3) change your MB-D10 battery type to the appropriate type of AA's. Otherwise you will not get the appropriate power reading.
