Not sure about the dark corners at the top though. Xia_Ke 03-28-2008, 05:22 PM Nice shot Greg :) The dark moody feel definitely works for me with this subject and composition. Now that I look at this on my home computer though I take back what I said about the trash cans. Greg McCary 03-28-2008, 07:18 PM Thanks AE, Thanks Aaron Rocket_Scientist 03-28-2008, 07:29 PM It has a nice feel to it. Perhaps it was intentional, but I think I would prefer it without the trash cans. At least without the large one on the right, since it conceals so much of the brick work. Don Schaeffer 03-28-2008, 07:30 PM Simple and direct. I l ike it. Greg McCary 03-29-2008, 04:39 AM Thanks RS. Thanks Don. I thought of some of your great urban shots when I took this. Tyson L. Sparks 03-29-2008, 05:18 PM Hey Greg, long time no see. I like it reminds me of Grandma's, I can almost smell the home made bread! Greg McCary 03-29-2008, 06:28 PM Thanks Tyson. Here is another edit. I went back and layered it to see if I could bring some detail to the upper part of the shot. The shadows are caused by another part of the roof above. I am happier with this one. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k35/cosmonaut1959/jesussavesfinalPRedit.jpg Xia_Ke 04-03-2008, 05:00 PM Hmmm, it's a tough call Greg but, I think I prefer the darker original. Addies Granddaddy 04-04-2008, 12:44 PM Hey Greg..............I like those cans. I think they add a little character to the shot. Contrast is pretty good too, but that little bit of sunlight at the bottom kind of intrudes into the shot, if you get my drift. Perhaps crop it a little higher at the bottom? Oh well, that's me, of course. It's been a while since I've been here, and I had lots of problems with the site accepting my user name/password, so I switched to a new one. John Greg McCary 04-04-2008, 12:49 PM Thanks John. Yes I have cropped that part since this. Thanks for the input. |
