Took the family to the zoo yesterday.
The dreary weather combined with construction at the zoo and the late visit made it seem as if we were the last ones there. At one point we actually thought we were locked in as it was about an hour after the official closing when we decided to leave and we saw no one.

Great work, Loupey. Zoo shots can be quite tough because of all the fencing and far viewing distance to the animas alot of times. Also the crowds, which fortunately you did not have to deal with.
I really like the approaching BobCat?or mountain lion . great moment and framed well.

Thanks, Gary, for the comments.
I think zoos and gardens are great places to practice - not just with the subjects but with the limitations and barriers placed between us. Like you said, having limited vantage points and people/glass/lexan in the way forces one to use techniques otherwise not used.
That mountain lion is in a pen with double layered fence about 7' high. Above that, the fence is only single layered. So I stood on the wooden fence to get a shot through the hole in the single layer.
Funny because even though I knew I was in no danger, when I watch him coming at me through the viewfinder, I had a small moment when I felt he was stalking me :)

Very true, and now knowing what you had to do to squeeze out that shot I'm even more impressed with the results.
