So im looking at this lense on ebay, and they have this picture up. i can't decided if the "marks" near the 7 oclock area are scratched glass, or just a reflection. so i though i'd throw it up here and see what you guys thought.

I see what you are saying, it could go either way. Ask the seller and if you do buy use Paypal and file a dispute if it isn't right when you get it.

I have bought a lens off of ebay my 80-200 and I was very happy with the transaction, but from selling and buying off of it for about 5 years now I know not everything is perfect, if you think something is fishy it is.

its from a store type place, with an actual address, and they say they have a 15 day return policy. but id still rather not hassel if i knew it was bad.

Then I say ask them, look at there feedback, and wait for the answer... There are always more lenses that come up for sale, so this prob won't be the last one. If you want PM me the link to the Ebay auction and I'll try and help you figure it out (I'm not interested nor do I have the money to buy anything so I won't bid on it.)

yeah ive been waiting and looking at ebay for a while. not actually ready to buy yet either, unless this lense stays this low...

i did just ask them about the marks though so we'll see what they say.
their feedback is like 99.7 with over 7k items.

Looks like a reflection of an overhead light to me.

Thanks chris and greg, they replied saying they believe its just a reflection. which is what i was leaning towards to. now lets just hope the price stays where it is.... and i can save enough money to pay for it next week.
