Here's something I saw and couldn't walk away from.
Now that I've got it home I'm wondering if it works as well as I originally thought it did.
Comments and critique welcomed. Suggestions cheerfully explored, but please leave the editing to me.

I think the sun needs to be a little lower in the sky for this.
Or take it at night with off-camera flash when you control the light completely.
I would like the left hand circle to be completely above the wall/pavement join.
And the right hand bike to have its wheels just touching the pavement.
You might need two lights for that...
The Torpedo Factory?
If so a couple of Sundays ago we locked our bikes to the right one.

Hmmm, me too, and interesting idea Wombat. Actually the area is particularly well lit at night so going back and seeing what shadows occur already and then do some things with some flash heads might not be a bad idea. I also have a hand held spot light. . . . Good thoughts, thanks for looking.

Yep, and that is the right one on the extreme left of the frame. I was there for the critique at the Multiple Exposures Gallery two Sundays ago. I shot this because I arrived early and the building was still locked so I had some time to nose around with my old K1000 film camera before it started. Got some great feedback on my fire pictures too.
Were you there around noon with your wife in bright yellow matching riding outfits? I definitely saw some "Bikers" cruise through the gallery at the end of the critique. If not, you should have come out, I would love to have seen some of your prints in person. They have a critique one Sunday a month led by a different resident artist from the gallery, usually from 10 to Noon. There's one up at Glen Echo once a month with a great group of folks as well. If you're interested PM me and I'll get you the dates.

I think you have a great concept here with the shadows on the wall, and I like the framing of this. I agree with SmartWombat about a different lighting to bring the shadows up higher on the wall.
I agree that the shadows should be higher up on the wall. I miss the Torpedo Factory.. ! :)

....why you can't get a good sub at the Torpedo Factory?
You have to go across the street.
That just ain't right.
