When I was in Vegas for the PMA show, I dropped my 550EX flash on the floor and it quit working. When I got home I sent it in to get fixed. In the meantime I bought another one cause I can't be without. Plus, since they can work together as master and slave, it opened up new lighting opportunities to me.

Five months later (Monday) I finally get around to trying them both at once. The 550 flash on my right was fired via a PocketWizard radio slave and the one on the left was set up as a slave to flash on the right. After a lot of messing around trying to get them both to fire (no user's manual), I finally got them both to sync in manual flash exposure mode.

I'm psyched! I'm not saying these photos are masterpieces. But the opportunities this opens up to me are huge. I recently bought the annual Transworld Skateboarding photo issue, and I'm inspired. Skate photographers do some of the most creative outdoor lighting and sports photography and a lot of them are using multiple flashes and gels to sculpt a photo. Me too! Me too!

I didn't want to be the first one to "burst" Irakly's bubble. Actually, I was hoping PJ would see it and respond. I'd really like to know what he thinks about the mixup... :D

i was interested in everything PJ had to say and then I see some dudes face I don't recognize and I'm so confused out of my gourd cuz unless you went thru extreme makeover THAT's not PJ...at least not from the pics I've seen by comparison...so now ...i have to go back and re-read everything he said cuz I forgot everything in my confusion.
