Here are some shots I took the other night. I still keep getting a blurry ball in some. Anyone have any advice on that? I am still shooting the WB on auto and I can see that it's not always working. I will work on that. At least I know what it is now! lol

I also wish we had a more colorful gym! At least the lighting isn't too bad so I guess I shouldn't complain.

I think your shots are great....and I know what you mean about the color thing, but that is out of our control....unfortunately...LOL...I took one of your photo's and played with it a bit, but really couldn't do anything different than you have already done.....
I think you have done a wonderful job....a lot more light in them, than you had before...
I am sure someone with the knowledge I certainly don't have might be able to make some suggestions....
But I think you did a great job....and had fun doing it....Right???

Your getting there, you are right that gym is aweful color wise, that green pad is soaking up a lot of light too. Nothing you can do there, but a fill flash may help, or shooting from up high although it doesn't look like you have a balcony to work with. Ya use what you got though. Maybe bump the EV up might help the shadows, if not, shadows & highlights will.

Thanks JS. None of the gyms here have balconies. I had to go look up EV to see what it stood for and found out it mean exposure values referring to the amount of light for a given exposure. It talked about how if you change aperture or shutter speed that you have to change the other to keep it the same. I kind of understand that but have no idea how to relate it to what I need to do. Usually my settings at my home gym are ISO 1600, f/2, 1/320. what should I try changing? Thanks for the help!
BFiredUp - Yes, I did have fun. :o) My husband thinks I'm crazy for all the hours I'm putting into taking these photos and then playing with them on the computer trying to get them ready for the slideshow. He doesn't seem to get that I like doing it and that I'm enjoying the challenge of trying to get better photos. Even my daughter told me that I probably had enough for the slideshow and didn't need to take any more. They just don't get it.
Speaking of the slideshow... anyone have any good suggestions for music to use for my basketball video? Laat year I had one section with Tom Jones "She's A Lady" which showed all the aggressive, ripping the ball, diving on the floor photos. It was a big hit. I'm trying to find another good song like that for this year.

check this out, this is old chicago bulls stuff, but I always loved that Allen Parsons Project tune for basketball. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFZRrieLKMo&NR=1 starts at the 58 second mark

I have never done a slideshow...might be something to look into...but like yourself, I am spending a lot of time now, with doing pics for the team, editing, etc....LOL...my husband knows I am enjoying it, so he doesn't say a word....
We used a song for football that was My House...but can't give you any other info on that.....maybe Can't touch this.....(I am not good with the title and artist thing...LOL..will never be on Name that Tune....ooops....telling my age....LOL
