View Full Version : Outdoor sports winter night ! jveu1tigato 01-17-2008, 10:45 AM hi all i search a lightning kit for outdoor night (and day maybe) and i will use it in winter i try to find the best system (strobe Many light 200 w/s and more thx JSPhoto 01-17-2008, 10:52 AM I'd look for a battery system unless you have power available, Adorama and B&H a lot of setups available. JS jveu1tigato 01-17-2008, 12:24 PM what do you know about lumidyne strobe is it good or i can take any strobe like balcar speedotron bowens??? and it will resist to -25 degree celsius and snowflakes (a little bit not a snowstorm) help me i'm trying to buy something good ( snowboard sports kits) JSPhoto 01-17-2008, 09:37 PM Not sure how they would react to snow, most have cooling fans, that may be an issue. Your best bet, depending on what camera and lens your using may be to use the new version 580EX and use three or 4 as needed, although 2 should light up the scene very well, mount them on stands and fire with PW's or similar. I have seen this done for both snowboarding and skiing at night and it seems to work well with a lot less invested. They throw more light than you'd expect.
