PWs were essentially dead, so I didn't have a good day, 430ex foot is still broken, so here is just one image.

I need to find me an indoor track meet to go shoot. I'd like to try killing all the ambient light and snooting some of the people doing pole vault, hurdles etc.

Love the perceptive and the b&w. You turned this into a very effective image. I haven't shot any indoor track since my son ran in the Mason Dixon games at Freedom Hall 10 or 11 years ago. It was very well lighted and I didn't any thing more than ISO 400 film to get decent images.

thanks for the comments. The shoot was going fairly poorly and I figured I would just goof around...

400, you say... that's some nice lighting. This has two different heights for ceilings, under the low one you can probably get away with ISO 1000, under the high ceiling, everything is RED and underexposed at 3200.

berry, it's a fun idea, but high jump is VERY hard to capture, especially at the lower levels because of the bad form. long jump is easier, but they dont do pole vault around here during indoor.

Freedom Hall in Louisville KY is a premier facility. The Mason Dixon games use to be one of the premier indoor events of the world track scene. It has lost a lot of it's luster over the last 20 years or so unfortunately. Because of the size of Freedom Hall in the 60's it had one of the longest indoor tracks in the US. With all the new arena and such it no longer is even close. The KHSAA hold it's indoor state championship meet now in conjunction with the Mason Dixon games. While my son was in high school our school won the boys state championship title twice.
