didn't fare too well tonight. Believe it or not, the inability of any player on the team to NOT hold onto the puck for even 1 damn second before slapping it away aimlessly greatly hinders the ability to get a lot of good shots. Oh well, it's only for the yearbook...

also no holes in the glass, bench full, penalty box has glass in front of it...so it was either standing on a chair in the bench area only to be blocked by players' heads 50% of the time, or above the glass...which makes it tough to actually get the entire player in focus. Glad I only have to shoot one game.

shots are with either the 70-200 or 300, 1d, and 2 bounced alienbees.

Nice shots considering the challenges Brent. I feel your pain though, I wish I had a dollar for every blurred zebra in a shot. The other night at one of the tournament games I shot it seemed like they were out to get me. If I was on one side of the lane the ref on that side took the baseline, if I switched sides so did they. Oh well, that's why we do this. It's the challenge:-)

Good stuff. I would love the chance to shoot with some flash. Of course, I am just starting to understand the camera, adding the flash variable may very well be too much for me. Something occured to me, I shoot the same players every game. You start to know what they are going to do and where they will be on the ice. Even when the hits will be coming. It is a greater challenge for you guys shooting strangers. At least I have that working for me. Good luck to all.

yeah, i only really knew one player on the team, because he's the only one who has been playing well all 4 years, so the focus has been on him. I deleted the photos off my flickr, but here they are...
