Took these this morning. I have been wanting to get a shot of a deer drinking out of this pond for over a year now. I would have loved to have seen a huge buck, but I will take what I can get.

The drinking deer with the reflection in the water is what I was after. The buck in the second photo was actually a lot closer to me than the doe was. The doe shot was taken at 452mm, the buck at 170mm. The buck didn't stay by the water long enough to get zoom in for a closer shot. He did keep coming closer and closer to me after he got his drink tho.

Love the second buck shot in the inital post - what a posture! I like the composition and the size of the buck in relation to the frame. If only the moss wasn't there so that the entire reflection could be seen. Perhaps next time. Definitely worth continued exploration.
