I caught this guy/gal napping with the Canada Honkers at Port Burwell today.
My 1st Snow Goose.

And that's a ross's goose, not a snow goose :)

Ok...now I am confused...everything I have read show's this to be a snow goose, due to the black 'grin' along the mandible.

oops, it's just a smaller strain(lesser) of snow goose or you have some seriously large canada geese there :wink:

Even us seasoned birders get one wrong at times :D
