means that much to us downunder in Australia, other than the fireworks that you guys set off.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, remains safe and enjoy themselves.

Take care everyone.

Thank you Peter!

I'm looking forward to my July 4th staple - the concert at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center). Last year it was Neil Young and Lucinda Williams. This year it's Sting and Annie Lennox. Not too shabby, especially since it's only $34 for lawn seats.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I know someone from London - with the characteristic sense of humor - who refers to July 4th as Thanksgiving...

I never really thought about other countries and their holidays differing from ours. Well, the fireworks are pretty cool. Here's my one and only July 4 pic...saw this little lady in a downtown trolley, never did see her face. :-)

Thanks Peter, here's a "little" one I managed to photograph tonight. Hope you have (had) a great weekend as well!

It takes a lot to wish someone from a different culture a happy holiday when you yourself don't celebrate it. Thank you.

I saw the fireworks in Washington, DC tonight. I took many shots, all on Velvia 50. Here's a shot on my digi of the Iwo Jima on my way out. This is where I will be next year :)

Thanks again.

Rick

but it's still the holiday officially! :D

It's thoughtful of you to think about we Americans on our holiday. Thank God it was peaceful.

I actually got sick - bronchitis - so I didn't do much except take medication. I had gone into NYC for a while Saturday.........and that was my high point.........

Rick - beautiful image - thanks for sharing it with the rest of us.
