Maybe this is an easy question but how do I remove the "Image Info" off the LCD screen on my D*) so I can see pictures. Perhaps I pushed wrong buttons
info LCD shows:
Optimize image
ISO
White balance
size
tone sharpness etc

its super imposed over Photo

Also what lense might be best, reasonably priced for shooting Micro bugs & stuff
Thanks

not sure about on the d80... but the d200 has the directional pad if you press up or down it cycles through the menus, and one of them is just the picture, one has the curve over top the picture etc

i have the nikon 60mm f 2.8 macro, $400, and it is mighty good.

Yeah, depending on how your custom functions are set up, it'll either be up/down on the d-pad or left/right to switch info screens.

If you never look at that stuff, the playback menu lets you turn them off.

It took me a day or two to figure out how I got the histogram info on the lcd turned on -- just so I could turn it off again. I had remembered reading about it, but none of the buttons and dials on the back did anything. So I tried the front scroll wheel out of desperation and ta-da! It worked.
