Does it stand on its own, or does this need something else in the frame?
Does the narrow DoF work, focussing on just one branch?

In this situation i would like to see all the branches sharp. I like the idea here though.
I would be inclined to clone out that bit of foliage in the top corner.

It is an interesting idea but I don't think it really works as a good image as presented.

Some things worth trying;
B&W. Crop everything above the topmost horizontal branch. Go crazy with color intensity and contrast.

I am not sure any of these work but the point would be to turn it into an abstract or tonal study.
