Hi, my first post here so apologies if it isn't in the right section!

My camera has a little problem, and I've looked in the manual, but cannot seem to find a solution.

The camera is working perfectly, except that the red-eye reduction lamp is permantly on. Whether the camera is turned on or not, it doesn't turn off. It does, however, turn off if the batteries are removed. It also flashes brightly when the off button is pressed.

It started happening today shortly after I discovered that a bottle of water had leaked in the backpack the camera was in. The camera's case was wet, but as mentioned above, there is no loss of performance.

Any ideas?

Remove the batteries and let it dry out over the next couple days. If it was only water and the camera didn't get soaked, chances are good that it'll be fine.

Definitely just sounds like a moisture issue.

If you want to speed up the drying you can put a hairdryer on low a few feet safely away from to slightly warm up the air passing over the camera.

good luck

but I think you'll be fine, when I was younger I had driven RC cars into the pool several times and then dried them out on "warm" in the oven and they worked fine.
