Someone has to know if this flash will work?

I just made the jump from EOS 630 film to digital EOS 10D.

My old 430EZ will work on the 10D but both the camera and flash must be in manual. It is not so hard to guess at the exposure and make corrections as needed.

I am sure it will be the same with your 420EZ and XTi.

yeah, the ez line just doesn't support automatic flash metering. It's basically like using an off-brand flash on your camera, you can only use it in manual mode. I'm actually considering selling my 430ex and picking up an ez because I never use it outside of manual mode.
