So about 10 minutes after setting up, this nice buck strolls out into a clearing. While shooting, an indigo bunting lands virtually in my line of sight. Since I only shot a bunting one other time, I had to shoot it - it only took a moment anyway.
During all this, this doe sneaks up from behind. From start to finish: 30 minutes! Nice thing since it was 92 degrees and humid today :p

Great shots! Glad you were able to get them and get out of the heat so quick :D

Man, you can accomplish a lot in 30 minutes. Great shots, especially the bunting.

Lovely, I have yet to come across an indigo bunting that I can get a good shot of.
Very nice images, Loupey!

Amber - thanks! I didn't get out of the heat altogether but I was able to sneak back into the forest to get some relief in the shade.
Minnesota scroller - I can tell you that this is definitely an exception and not the rule. I usually come back with ticks, chiggers, poison ivy, soaked clothes, ... more often than a success story. I feel confident that I can enter an "ugliest legs/feet" contest now and most likely win :p
Quetzal - appreciate the feedback. One of those weird situations when not looking for it allows one to see it.

WTP07 - thanks! Haven't seen you around these parts much. Hope you're doing OK.
Yarrow - you made my day. Your 2nd sentence is the best compliment any photographer can ever receive :)
