I got out with my camera for a couple of hours after I arrived home yesterday. It was a fun walk except that I couldn't stand still in the woods for long without being mobbed by clouds of mosquitoes even though I was soaked in deep woods off...

A coot...

Two shots of tiny ladyslipper orchids I came across...

Two shots of a small brown bird...(name?)

A small butterfly near a flower...(it was a bit bigger than a quarter)

Our provincial flower, the wild rose which were all in bloom, I was glad I got out while they were, last week they were just buds and in a few weeks they will be mostly gone.

White flowers on a bush or small tree...

And last a simple daisy...

Skitters are bad here also, you captured quite a variety . If i had to choose a favorite it would be hard, i like them all :) Good work.

I've heard horror stories of the blood-suckers up there. Glad you were able to get some shots in between the slapping :)

Thanks for sharing!

I do believe what you have there is a lincoln's sparrow.

Thanks Paul, I'm slowly learning the local birds. Another fun side of this hobby.

I am not 100% positive on that, but it sure looks like one to me.
