I posted a few images in the Sports forum with this setup and thought I'd share a couple with you guys. I got out a lens I hadn't used in 10 of 12 years a Vivitar 300mm f5 manual (I think I bought it for under $100 25 or maybe 30 years ago) Saturday morning to shot a few sports photos with. I coupled it with an equally old Vivitar 2x converter. I buckled it on the D2h and hoped for the best. While shooting from the outfield fence I had a bird land in a tree nearby so I figured why not. Here are the results for this very inexpensive setup.

LOL - Don't make me get my Kodak Retina Reflex III out and buy a roll of film!! That's just too cool. Nice work. Heck, I'm not even sure I remember how to work mine!

Old lenses are hard to part with lol I have a couple i bought on Ebay for pennies . Some of them are still very usefull . I like trying different old lenses with tubes .Some times the results are suprising as you can see from your 2 photos :)

This is not a setup I'll be using a lot. But it was kind of fun to play with it for a couple of hours. ISO was cranked up on that last one to around 800 and as you know the D2h is know for how noisy it can be.
