We've all had 'em. You know, those would-be "Perfect" shots that we either screwed up or something happened at the last second to mess them up. I've had plenty, but this one today is a bit painful, as this would've been one heckuva image. Anyway, as I was crying over my spilt milk on this, I figured, what the heck....We may as well have a thread on this. Should be good for a laugh ot two, and to make us realize that we're not the only ones who blow a shot every now and then :mad2: :mad2: . I'll start with my most recent agony:

Good call on this thread. Out for a quick hike after work today and this beaver popped up right beside me. He was there for about 5 seconds then went back under and I never saw him surface again :(

OK - Here's an update to the image I posted. I was about to delete this, but chose to show my wifr (Mrs. Canon_Bob) before I did. She absolutely LOVED the image as-is, and convinced me to upload it to my Stock Photo agency. Bottom line - in two days this has become my number one selling photo!!!!!

.....I'm just shaking my head in disbelief. I was shocked it was even accepted!

I have to say that I actually love the photo as well..I cant quite put my finger on it but there is something about it.

I agree with the stock photo buyers, I love the first butterfly photo as is, the implied motion of the insect taking flight is demonstrated very nicely.

At the Taku glacier in Alaska, I had an adult brown bear stand up for me and my #!@!!king Nikon 6006 wouldn't fire.
Man, that's a major downer.

here's one from today that has me banging my head against the wall. It's the poster child for keeping your lenses free of dust and specks!
