Well it's middle school championship soccer. This last Saturday I shot four soccer games. I had two boys and two girls, two divisions from each group. I mostly shoot this for our local paper, which has a youth section and will print the winning team pictures. So instead of just going out there to shoot the team pictures I'll stay and shoot the action as well. I'll then inform the coaches about the pictures and tell them where they can be viewed. I usually do pretty well when I do this with the middle school track meets. This was my first year shooting all middle school championship games for all their sports. I look at this as a good way to get me name out there.

Anyways here are some shots from the games. This is the first game.

A couple of goalie shots from the second game.

A shot from the third game.

The final game, which was the best. The goalie here was just awsome, not afraid to put her body in harms way to stop a goal. This first shot was taken during their warm up.

Sorry for so many shots, I ended up taking just over 1200 shots during the day. Thanks for looking and comments are always welcomed.

Nice Homer! You are really catching on, the goalie shots are really nice, especially the girl in red diving....that looks like a POTW candidate! Keep it going. Even the horizon is great on most, but those that aren't are not off in a distracting way.

Thanks JS. I took pictures of that goalie last year but it was a late game and they had to do a shoot out to break the tie and she was just great to watch, so I made sure I watched her a bit more than I normally would. I'm thinking she's only in the 7th grade and will be back next year. I sure hope so.

These are great, what lens did you use? My favorite is the diving goaling as well. Very Cool or should I say impressive.

They look good here!

I only wish you got the goalie's full body on the diving shot, but its still a great catch (no pun intended!)
