It's a sad day. Kurt Vonnegut has left this world. He was a sensitive, articulate man and a very entertaining writer. I saw him speak once when I was in college and I will never forget it. Anyone who hasn't read any of his books should get started. You will be amused and enlightened.

He certainly was one of the greats. Not being much of a fiction reader myself, I have to say I've never read one of his books but always liked what he had to say in interviews. His most recent (http://www.amazon.com/Man-Without-Country-Kurt-Vonnegut/dp/081297736X/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-6810936-5094309?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1176401561&sr=8-1) collection of short stories sounds very interesting so I'll probably start with that. Based on what I know about him, he would be one of the few "famous" people that I really wish I could have met.

He was talked about quite a bit at school today. Although its been a long time, I remember really liking Slaughterhouse 5.
