Cropped. The red siding is distracting... I love the image BTW.

YES. I think it brings out the kitty a little more.. The window is fine, but the cat's face makes the pic! I also like it better w/o the red brick.

Something looks very soft about the pic however - can you sharpen?

I would crop the top pane out which will really concentrate on kitty.

However, of this is soft now cropping further won't help at all. How about organising with kitty for a retake :D

The beauty of this one is that we can feast our eyes not only on Kitty but also the very interesting window, the rusty pins holding the glass and the two nails supporting the top sash.
Kitty seems to be on guard duty (that suspicious look) looking after perhaps an elderley citizen who does not get out often. I'm wondering what it would look like with the red wall section being visible all round. It's lovely either way.

Very definitely cropped, unless you have the brick on the right as well in which case a little brick holds the image in.

I like the bottom pic..red takes away from the subtle blue of the window. And I would take the top two panels out at the glass line also..

Thanks every one for the input so far, I wasn't sure on the red siding and didn't really care for it, I really wanted it on both sides, but was just glad I got the shot. I was walking by and looked over saw the cat there and quick snapped it. Stopped to peek at LCD, looked up and the cat was gone.

Overbeyond, not sure how you can tell but your right, its one of three or four cats that live on the farm with my great uncle (in his 80s) and aren't too social, when you get near or go into the barn where they live they vanish, and you can hear them creeping about the shadows as you walk around. So that pretty much cancels out a reshoot, unless I get really lucky next time. I do have a couple other of him in an open window, his "door".

How does this one look for a crop? I took my time and did a real resize and resharpen this time, does it look any better as far as sharpness? I think the focus might have been just off, but not too bad for a very quick snap.

Good improvement Phil. I just noticed that the color is quiet cool and like the image better warmed up so you 'feel' that bright sun a little more.
