View Full Version : Flower Yarrow 04-11-2007, 05:52 AM Ok one more I promise . http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m126/harmonyrising/Photography/RoadTrip069_edited-2.jpg pympster 04-11-2007, 09:11 AM I like the colour on the flower but I dont think the background really works very well! Perhaps if you were closer into the flower.. I dont know just something doesnt seem right! But a good flower! Yarrow 04-11-2007, 09:25 AM Do you think its off because its to busy around the flower? pympster 04-11-2007, 09:34 AM Yes I think so! My eye doesnt really focus on the flower! Maybe try and crop it a bit! Or what you could do , in photoshop, is make everything black and white apart from the flower a bit like what i did here (http://forums.photographyreview.com/showthread.php?t=31645) , I dont know if it will work with this shot but it might be worth a go! Yarrow 04-11-2007, 10:12 AM Oh thats a awesome pic... I have never figured out how to do that...I am still new to PS..I think I have a tutorial somewhere... pympster 04-11-2007, 10:17 AM ok so basicly I got my bro to show me how (hes into GFX im into photography) I use aperture but you cant do that sort of stuff! So all you need to do is select the area you want in colour, then select inverse, then in the layers section on the right side of your screen, at the bottom there should be an icon that looks like a contrast symbol, click it and then select gradient map, it should automaticaly change everything red, there is a bar that has red in it, select it and choose black and white! If you miss bits out then you can always go back and select the area (without inversing!) Sorry if thats a bit confusing but give it a go!! |
