Just wanted to know if any of you Nikon User purchase there Nikon (D200) from the online stores.

If so, are they trust worthy that you will get a new in the box Nikon product.

I am in the market for a D200 any advice as to best prices, service, etc will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I use www.beachcamera.com (http://www.beachcamera.com). I have bought 2 Minolta Maxxum 7's and an Olympus E-500 from them. I find them to be very trust worthy and good shippers. They sell only USA warranted products and have free shipping and the lowest prices for new equipment that I have seen. Some scammers have cheaper prices listed, but they after all they are scammers and Beach is not.

I have also used B&H, and Ritz. Both are highly recomended.

I've used B&H quite a bit. They're great - except that they're so big that sometimes it's hard to get a just-released new item. This isn't the case with the D200 and I'd be really surprised if it wasn't in stock. The owner of B&H even posts here from time to time. There's a camera dealer feedback forum on this site too.

This site can get credit for your purchase and it won't cost you a cent if you use the tab at the top of this screen that says SHOP in red letters. Click on Partner Stores, then B&H. As long as you buy thru this link the site gets a couple bucks, and like I said it won't cost you anymore than not doing it.

B&H is the only one on that list that I've used, but note that they're closed until Monday. Same with Adorama, another good supplier. Calumet may be a little more expensive but they'll be open. So will Roberts Imaging in Indianapolis.

There are great online stores, and there are evil online stores. Some of the biggest, Adorama and B&H, are great. But there are all kinds of online dealers that specialize in bait-and-switch tactics. The best thing to do is not shop by price, instead, shop by dealer reputation. Take a look at our Dealer Feedback Forum (http://forums.photographyreview.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10) and the dealer ratings in our reviews section (http://www.photographyreview.com/reviewscrx.aspx). Those resources will steer you to dealers that are safe.

I buy most of my equipment online.

If you do ebay make sure they are an authorized dealer for usa.
