Well, you see...things kinda got out of hand. :out:

The above is the original image, with absolutely NO post processing. I simply tilted the tripod partway through the 13 second exposure at F8 and ISO 50

The below, is the modified version of the image, including:
Droste (http://flickr.com/photos/joshsommers/sets/72157594515046947/) Effect, Stereographic polar projection, orton effect, and curve tweaking for color.

Did I overprocess this image?

i do think the second one is overdone. i can't even tell what it is.
the first one is interesting though, how did you tilt the tripod?

You know how they let the camera go vertical and horizonal format? I simply went from one to the other as smoothly as I could while the camera was taking the picture.

The "over process" question was humor, I wasnt serious about wondering if it's overdone. Some are supposed to hate it, some are supposed to like it, that's my goal at least.

Gettin' creative ARE WE... #1 IS A COOL SET UP.#2 REMINDS ME OF A OLD JET FIGHTER FRONT SHOT.BOTH ARE interesting,unique.#2 COULD BE STRONGER IF IT WAS SIMPLER.YOU KNOW HOW EXPERIMENTS GO. :o) # 2 MAKES ME WANT TO KEEP GOING.ha!
The feeling of #1 is like a radar screen on a sub.I say call it "PING" hahahahaha
I know...way out there.

Thanks Rick, I have a couple more versions

Remember that I put links to the large version here.

Here it is without the color tweak:

And one minus the color tweak and stereographic-polar projection

I like the color tweak--the coppery feel really does it for me. Some things are not only clearly meant to be over-the-top, they deliver once there.
