While cruising the net today, I rememered this site thats all about the Nikons. Thought this would be a fun lens to aquire:

Nikon 1200-1700 F5.6-8 manual focus lens (http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/nikkoresources/zoomsMF/12001700mm.htm)

Image the possibilities!

at least you can toss on a 2x converter and get some real length out if it

Yes, but how many people will you need to hold up the barrel? What does that puppy cost........30K?

I don't have a clue on the price, but I figure if I could afford the lens, then I could afford to hire an entourage of people to hold/carry it for me :)

Semi-OT but since we're on the topic of long lenses, is that the Nikon 400 F2.8 you now have?

I am soooooo jealous! :)
