I really wasn't hunting...I knew it would be there eventually.:D This is my 1st picture in a post, so be gentle. It was really windy, but the tripod helped.

It's fine to link to the gallery, but you can post directly to the forums just click on go advanced and follow the instructions. Nice to have you posting. Dock Master 03-05-2007, 10:38 AM These were taken from the beach at Ft. Clinch State Park in FL. It just so happens that the channel runs really close to the beach. They come by all the time, but few know the schedule. My hubbie is stationed on this one, that's how I knew. He was on his way home. Chunk 03-05-2007, 10:45 AM I like your shots. They brought back some memories for me. On our boat it was sometimes my job to go topside after surfacing to take samples checking for radioactive contamination. I'd pass the samples back down the hatch and have the deck all to myself for a little while. It was nice on those balmy days like this. Dock Master 03-05-2007, 10:50 AM Another Nuke! Yeah hubbie is an RO, well not so much anymore. He is the EDMC on this one. He still fills in where needed though. My son went to the dark side, he is a Sonar Tech. Chunk 03-05-2007, 01:15 PM I was an MM1 and ELT. That was back in the dark ages though... Rocket_Scientist 03-05-2007, 02:05 PM These were taken from the beach at Ft. Clinch State Park in FL... Ft. Clinch!?!?!? I've been there! But it was many, many years ago... Cool shots Dock Master! Is that an Ohio class boomer? Congratulations on having your husband back! I was in the Air Farce - Minuteman III, ICBM's. I pulled 193 alerts under North Dakota. Dock Master 03-05-2007, 03:04 PM Chunk, it couldn't have been too terribly long ago. I mean you were a Nuke, so at least post WWII. LOL Yep, Ft. Clinch in Fernandina Beach, FL. It's just over the border, er stateline from us in GA. Speed knows his Subs. That is the USS Tennessee (SSBN 734). JSPhoto 03-06-2007, 06:45 AM My recruiter got one stuck on the bottom of Boston Harbor....thats why he wound up a recruiter :D I was an AE......on one of those floating cities. It's no wonder I can sleep through anything, or that I can still hear.... JS |
