Hello out there :D
Just picked up a Samsung GX1S (aka pentax ist d2)
So far the technology involved has humbled me.
I've had to read the manual a few times.

Its been a while since I've used a "real" camera.
I was used to the 50/50 crap shoot of getting an image with my Olympus D520 :D
Now I feel obligated to go out there & capture some good images.
Until the rain stops...I'll just have to shoot whats around me...
like uh...me :rolleyes:

Hi and welcome to the forums! Since I joined up a couple of years ago, I've found this to be a very helpful and friendly and supportive place to be - I'm sure you will too.

A 10-17mm? That is some wide angle - did you get a couple of lenses in the kit?

Welcome Hollis, I think I fit in the same category as you, and I've been using my Pentax *ist DL for almost a year and still trying to figure it out...hehehehe...good luck with the Sammy...look forward to seeing some post rain shots...

hey Mike,
the camera came with the standard 18-55mm.
I always wanted a really wide angle lens, so I splurged.
I cant wait to get Out with this set up. :cool:
