Hey everyone,
I plan on buying a digital SLR within the next couple of months (haven't decided which one yet), and was wondering if it would be smarter to buy the camera here (US) or wait until June to buy it in Japan? Will prices be reasonably better in Japan, or will it not cause our dollar sucks?
Any input if appreciated

Matt-
You should buy your camera in the US. I believe all of the digital SLR manufacturers have US-specific warranties. An Asian camera's warranty won't be any good in the US. you might save money buying there (and you might not). But if you have a problem and need a repair, the money you saved will be a wash. You're actually likely to lose money if there's a problem. With a lens, I probably wouldn't worry about it. But for a digital SLR body, I'd buy in the US for the warranty.

That answers my question!
Thanks you much!
