I'm new to digital photography. Someone just gave me an Olympus D-220L "point and shoot" camera, but without a manual.
I've found a memory card that slips in and out for it.
Does the camera have any picture taking capability without the memory card in place?
Woah! That's an old camera...lol. Max resolution is 640x480...Nice. I actually a little jealous.
From the spec sheets I have seen it appears that this camera does not have internal memory, so therefore is would not function without a memory card. It would be my guess that finding a new card for this camera would be kinda hard, as the max size it can take is 8MB. Just to be certain, remove the card and see if the camera can store shots without it.
Welcome to the forums!
Good explanation. Thanks.
I'll go ahead and try it without the card.
The good news is there are twomemory cards with it.
That's good to hear. What sizes are the 2 cards?
They're 2mb size. My manual says I can use 2,4, or 8mb ones.
I ran into a problem since posting this one. It's over in the "Digital Imaging and Computers" forum. I just posted it there and would appreciate it if you'd take a peek at it and see if you have any ideas what's going on.
