Hey guys,
Been reading a lot lately about photagraphy. I mainly do outdoor shots of snowboardin and wakeboarding. Looking for a real good lens under $700.00, the subjects are usually moving and at most about 70 feet away. he camera is usually on burst mode, 3fps.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

Sounds like you need a moderate tele zoom with a max aperature of 2.8. That's the fastest you can get in a zoom these days. The 80-200mm 2.8 lenses would probably work for you. You can find them used in your price range. If you need something shorter, try the 28-105 range. That might do the trick for you!

I would help if we knew what system you shoot. From your last post I would guess Canon. If so, consider saving up a little more money and look at the 70-200mm f2.8L IS lens from Canon. Really nice piece of glass but a little above your price range. Or if you can live without IS since you are looking at outdoor shooting, take a look at the 70-200mm f4L. It also is great glass and should be quite sufficent outdoors.
