I got a Nikon 10.5mm DX fisheye last week and tried it out at the zoo. There are two shots on the nature board, if you are interested. I also tried it out on one of my more willing models -- he works for treats.

Both of these were cropped slightly. Any comments or suggestions for improvement would be appreciated. Oh, f/11 and ISO 400, can't remember the shutter speed on the D200.

That first picture definitely needs to be straightened. I'd use the distant "horizon" of the lake to level it. The second one seems underexposed, or was that intentional? Maybe too much in the shadows?

it must be a monitor thing.. but the second one looks nicely exposed to me and the first one lacking in colour and wishy washy..

apart from the novelty fisheye effect the first one dosnt say much but i like the second one..

That's kinda funny. I didn't want #1 it to be straightened. I was going for the cartoonish look. It is a trifle washed out, but I wanted the nose and eyes to be about where they are in contrast. I could have tinkered to get everything the right contrast, but didn't want to bother. Thank you both for the input.

the first one is okay.. i am just a bit anti big nosed fisheye effect.. but if i had such a lens i would no doubt produce many such amusing pictures.. he he

i like your second one the background lookd great makes the picture perfect

Wow, that fisheye is sure a neat lens! Both are excellant shots, the second looking like a professional painting. The first is a bit lacking in contrast - easily fixed.
