I bought the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens :) Now all I need is a dedicated macro lens

We received almost a foot of snow yesterday :D :D :D so I went out and took a couple of images. The first one was @ 22mm and the second was @ 16mm, I'll have to take a drive to find something to shoot at 10mm. BTW, the temp was around 15 degrees fahrenheit (about -10 celcius) and the AF on my 300mm wouldn't work  ... it does now :)

I think this one could use a crop, I don't like the centered horizon...

I haven't seen blue in the sky like that in a loooooong time.

Cool, Copy :)

I'm glad you got your new lens. Kinda weird going out shooting in W I D E mode rather than 300/600mm, eh? :p

Glad the AF works again on the 300mm - gave you a little scare I'm sure.

Look forward to seeing more with your new equip. How close does that thing focus anyway? A foot? Go wide and close for different nature perspectives.

Thanks Loupey,

the lens can focus as close as 0.24 m/0.8 feet, and oh yeah, I was a little scared about the AF not working on the 300mm (I hope Knight got his working again on his lens).

I can't wait to get out and use the 10-22mm some more. I like landscapes a little more than wildlife... I decided to buy the 300mm first since I already had the 18-55mm. I really like good B&W landscapes, it is probably what I will dedicate my time to... trying to get good B&W landscape images :) And since I'm on the subject... :D here's the first image again in B&W

 Thanks Paul, you've already got me calling them images instead of pictures... now it's going to be files.

Great B&W conversion.

I like that version much better than the color.

Hi Copy Kot
Which method do you use to convert to B&W.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark, I used the channel mixer in Photoshop CS2.
