Meet my oldest daughter, Samantha.
I don't very often get to take her picture because she doesn't live with me. But today, I managed to get one :)

We wanted a simple portrait for her driving license.
I will be getting this straight colour version printed for her. I know I'd be ecstatic with a pic like this for my license :)
I'm sure she will be happy too, once she has seen it.

So let me understand something here....
In the UK, you have to provide your own picture for your driver's license?
The idea isn't that unusal, here in the USA we have to provide a picture for a passort, but as far as a drivers license goes, you get the picture done when you go to the drivers license division.
I am guessing your drivers license application is mailed in then?
Great pic BTW, it's way better than any drivers license pic I have ever seen here in the USA.

Well, it's one of them anyway...lol You have so many beautiful daughters we all think you are running and all girl boarding school...:p
Seriously though, I kid because I love, and yes she is very lovely. As far as taking your own pics for your drivers license. Well that is just not fair. I look positively dreadful on mine. My EX said I am dead ringer for Richard Jewel in my license photos.

Alison,
I musn't let Beccy see this as she has a standard passport style photo for her drivers license.
Lovely daughter, lovely portrait.

Great capture. So, can I get you to take my drivers license photo? I've got to get mine renewed on the 21st.

Thanks everyone.
Yes, we mail our driving licenses here but we have to get someone who has known us for over 2 years and who is in a good job, to sign our photograph for us, to say that we are the person in the photograph.

That's interesting!
I bet it is a change to how things were done before the world changed a few years ago.
Yes? No?

You got the beautiful part right. Of course your skills as a portraitist don't do any harm. I envy your skill in this category. My wife had to get her drivers license this month and the first thing she said when she got back was, "I wish I could have had you fix it for me."
