View Full Version : You know you're a message board junkie when walterick 12-03-2006, 07:40 PM you're typing a paper for school and instead of clicking the "italics" button in Word you type html brackets  Rocket_Scientist 12-03-2006, 08:08 PM When in Word... I just type "Ctrl-I". I can't tell you how many times I've done that from habit while trying to do a post...but I can get used to anything. another view 12-05-2006, 04:52 PM Rick, you need help. Not me (at 4,854 posts), I'm OK. Really. :D SmartWombat 12-06-2006, 06:48 AM But pressing ctrl+I actually works in the editor !! Either type and pressctrl+i and it puts in the markers and leaves your focus in between them, or highlight text and press ctrl+I and it wraps it with the markers. Rocket_Scientist 12-06-2006, 02:52 PM It does? Then I must be doing something wrong. When I choose "Post Reply", and, while in the edit window, I press "Ctrl-I", Internet Explorer pops-up some side history window. Also, "Ctrl-B" (the Windows convention for "bold") pops-up an "Organize Favorites" dialog. Again, that's an IE thing, but I don't know how to bypass it. Mr Yuck 12-06-2006, 09:58 PM Use firefox :p walterick 12-12-2006, 07:36 PM LOL Steve I've moved beyond the denial stage to acceptance. Where are you? |
