Hi all
Just thought I would share some pics I took up near Mt.Fuji last week. Two pro mountain bikers came over to Japan and I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time to ask if I could follow them down the mountain to take pics. I spent almost 2 hours taking pics of the guys.

I took a practice shot of a rider that came down the trail so I could check exposure etc before the pro came down. Turns out that it wasn't the best idea as the first rider was not quite as skillful as the 2 times downhill world champion. I wasn't quite expecting Faben Barel to be able to jump so high (hence the cut off head).

It's always nice to get to take pictures of pros. And I know all about the chopped off head when a really good rider comes through. I've done the same thing plenty of times - tune up on "normal" riders and then the pros come through and I discover I'm set up all wrong :rolleyes: :D

I was supposed to ride and shoot with Barel this year but missed the opportunity. I have shot him at Sea Otter and other races and he is awesome. Well - he's the world champ, huh! :cool:
