I really like this subject and I only got a few pictures of this barn because it is also a working Apple Orchard with a store in the downstairs portion so it was extremely busy for a Saturday. The lighting was not on the side of the barn I would have rather shot but I made the best of it and shot what I could. Please comment/critique.

I do agree on the lighting, but I like the composition and how you placed the windows. I've never seen a round barn. But we have a round school where I live...

This is a good idea and well worth revisiting.
I like it with an even tighter crop just above and below the window frames. Wouldn't mind seeing it with real bright colors too.
Ben - It has potential, but the problem I see here is that it's neither simplistic enough to be an abstract, or has a big enough picture with enough interesting objects to be a good landscape/architectural shot. The curved lines and interesting windows lend themselves to abstraction, but the introduction of the other end of the building on the right side is a major distraction (the black sky doesn't work for me here either). Try a crop of just the curved part, see what you get.

EDIT - On second look, that isn't a black sky after all but a dark, shaded roof lip. Had me fooled :)

Great ideas... yeah I thought the same thing that it leads your eyes right around the corner right into the other building section. I'll try cropping it down some and see what I get. I may see if I can get the green to come out some more I am afraid of lightening it because of all the white already in the picture but maybe if I can get the edges of the siding slats darker it will lend better contrast.
Thanks for the help!!

Another try at it... I like the crop better, not sure what I did to the colors and if I made it any better. The raw image for this picture looked very different color wise for some reason.
