Our High School football team plays at the Alamo Dome in San Antiono Sat. I have been on the sidelines taking pictures at every game. I'm hoping to be there this time around. I would like some info on what setting I should use. I have a 30D canon and a 75-200 mm f/2.8 lens. I'm sure the lighting will be better than the High School field, but i'd like your input.

Manual. always shoot in manual under the lights, because the lighting never changes. get your exposure and WB right before the game starts and you won't have anything to worry about.

I need to start doing custom white balances.

I'm with livin. I never ever shoot anything but manual and haven't for over a year. The only thing that changes can be the shutter speed depending on the field.

Our first football game next year is at Qwest Field aka, Seahawk Stadium. I'm so excited to shoot there!!!!

Have fun!

Manual, and you should be able to shoot at 800 ISo and 250 and up shutter speed. @ f2.8 there from what I was told by someone who has shot there.
