Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations for software that can batch edit my photographs. In particular I need resizing, text watermarks and key lines. It would be great if they could also upload the files via ftp to a webserver and maybe even output two sizes from each image. Any ideas? I've found Image Genius Professional (here (http://www.pixeldragons.com)), which seems to fit the bill. Just wondering if there are any alternatives before I make a purchase.

Thanks

T

I know using Photoshop you can do all those things- but the program is expensive. Well everything except upload to an FTP site.

I shoot raw, but here is my workflow after downloading my cards to my computer.

- View photos in ACDSee Pro, tagging images that I want to edit.

- Batch convert the raw files using Nikon Capture (Or you could use Photoshop for it)

- Go through the images & individually crop/color correct whatever else they need. For saving them, I have a few actions in photoshop that will save the image at different sizes/resolutions.

- Upload the photos using an FTP program in ACDsee.

My photos are all in jpeg format so it would be nice to have one application to do all the work. My workflow is to create two different sizes from each image, add a key line and text watermark then upload them to two different folders on my server.

I've been testing Image Genius and it seems to all what I need. Have you any experience with it?

I haven't, but I know in Photoshop you can do almost all of those. The only thing I'm not sure about is the adding a key line in there. Are you talking about keywords for your images?

Well everything except upload to an FTP site...

No, but most ftp programs use drag & drop, which is in effect a batch process...
