A few from this past week from a couple different locations.

Well thanks a bunch everyone - capturing birds is quite fun :) Sorry, Bev - still working on the in-flight stuff :p :D :) The high magnification coupled to the shutter lag of the 10D makes me want to pull my hair out! A lot of shots of empty air :(

I look forward to some birds-in-the-snow shots after my bugs have disappeared.

Loupey you are too hard on yourself,! i would die to have the chance to photograph birds of such variety you have, either in flight or static, but i know the feeling, i still have huge problems getting a reasonable shot of insects/bugs using tubes, they really do have a knack to them!

Great shots of some wonderful birds.:)

You are right it is addicting, at least we are in the right place:D
I never thought I would take pictures of birds, or even give them a second glance, now i can't stop looking at them even when i don't have my camera.

Your shots were great shots.

Loupey these are difinatly up to standard. Love the pecker and the cardinal. Your images always amaze and please me.

Karen, I know what you mean for sure. If I see one flying across the field, I now know what it is (most of the time :p ) and will sometimes head off in that direction. Even funnier when both my wife and her father are stumped on an ID of a bird and I walk up and ID it for them - thanks guys and gals!

OT, Copy, and Bev - you are all too kind. The digital noise at having to use ISO 400 is really horrible! I'm really happy with the 10D for macros and landscapes but this birding business is really really pushing it. BTW, rolled the image counter (once again) yesterday :)
