This, believe it or not, is the fire escape for a regional elementary school. Rather unique to say the least. I cannot imagine what fire drills must be like. The location is Alma, New Brunswick, Canada.

Dang! Some kids have all the luck.....our fire drills never included a cool slide.

Wow! The kids must love this. I agree, it certainly is unique. I'd like to watch the fire drills!

Gee I didn't know they still had those things. We had one just like that when I was in second grade, but that was 50 years ago. And fire drills were fun! I only remember getting to do it once but what a thrill.

It looks rather steep, like you would be really moving fast when you reached the bottom.

How do they keep the kids from trying it out for fun? I bet there's been a few false alarms for that reason alone :)
