Chunk, good to hear from you! Looks like your subject has been "retired" for awhile. Here are a couple fairly recent ones (http://forums.photographyreview.com/showthread.php?t=24844)that might qualify - paying homage to the pattern master at least...

Thanks for posting.

Ok I have three for you Chunk. One is a pattern one is a pattern/texture and the other is what I'm going to call an anit-pattern shot. Hope they fit the topic. Thanks for getting us going I love the patterns on the old tire.

Does this one count Chunk? Technically I made it, but it started from a pattern shot of a ceiling in a bar. :D

Thanks for getting us going I love the patterns on the old tire.I love them OT. I don't think that patterns need to be geometrically aligned - just be repeating shapes. Is that first shot of that sidewalk we travelled to lunch? I like how the colors work in it.

Here's one of my own from a bar.

Allison,

If you crop your first one with the blue poles to the point just below where the sidewalk colors lighten you have a truly awesome pattern shot!! Try it and see.

You have a good memory Chunk, that is the same sidewalk. What I remember is wishing that I had brought the camera along on the walk to lunch to shoot the moss amongst the pavers. :D

Here are my attempts. Don't laugh too hard lol.Nothing to laugh at there. I really like the contrast in texture between the poles and the brick. Good composition too. Thanks for playing.
