I went over 10000 shutter actuations last week.

My Canon Rebel XT has got to be the best camera investment I have made. It is my first Digital SLR, and I had a good bit of buyers remorse after purchasing it, but I would reccomend it to anyone who wants to get shots in any condition.

Is this unusual? How about getting maintenance on the shutter to insure this baby keeps on clicking?

I almost bought the XT, then the XTi and then finally settled on the 30D. No buyer remorse here!!!! Keep on shooting!!!!!

I've rolled over the counter in my 10D four times this year, it goes to 9999. No, it's not unusual, and by many comparisons I take very few frames.

No maintenance, you wait until it blows. If the cam is worth it, you replace it. I think a shutter replacement for that level of camera runs in the 200-300 buck range.
