well i saw this as an intresting pic, well from seeing what u guys see i will probebly get comments saying that sighn is distracting but i think it adds flavor, saying how long that street has been there and the main focal point is the window in the barn or the sighn, i dont know so much about this one but i would like to see what comments i get

I find the stop sign distracting-- I think if it was just the street sign it would be okay to have had the sign in it, but with that stop sign there as well I would have cropped the sign out. Other than that, I think this is a great shot. But I doubt this barn is older than my parents :þ When my trainer's barn was temporarily homeless, we stayed a few months at a stables where there was a barn that was built in the 1890's. Now that barn looked older than my parents! (oy, and they stored the hay in that hayloft-- tons of hay, I always thought the roof was going to cave in one day).

I really like the crooked angle of the street sign, it's just the stop sign that kills it (heh, stupid county and there stop signs!) :)
Hey Young Shooter,
Great one. Is the stop sign distracting? Yes it kinda is but cropping the left side of the picture would decrease the perspective and the overall appeal of your picture. Thus, I'd say you are stuck with it the way it is.
That being said, you captured the whole scene with an interesting angle. Perhaps the lighting is a bit too flat but it's not that bad. Shooting the same scene at dusk or dawn would most likely lead to a nicer result but I think that it is an interesting scene the way it is.

I agree this is a nice shot and agree the stop sign a bit distracting. Like Seb suggested , a reshoot at better lighting conditions, and I would suggest just standing a bit more to the right so that the stop sign edge is towards the camera making it far less visible.

Hi,
I just wonder what the shot would be if the sign is exaggerated with a wide-angle lens.
All the best.

Nice shot - I like the wide angle idea, and would add that maybe try a lower angle on the barn - maybe kneel down to get a better sense of the size of the barn.
Keep shootin!
