i think it would be better with out the bug, or closer on the bug. although a bigger print might help to. i like the composition of just the flower though. it shows the curley yellow do dads very well and allows you to see the white petals.

What caught my eye was this tiny lady bug deep inside this huge bloom, all alone. Solitary, if not confined by the spikes within the bloom. So, I intentionally did not go too close but close enough to capture that concept.

I understand your point though and appreicate the comments. Makes perfect sense.

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment.

thats the problem, and it might just help to have a big print. but i don't think its a lady bug, but can't tell what it is. or maybe just waited until it's back was facing the camera better so it appears more obviously a bug.

but i understand the concept and like it alot.

I'll give the bigger print a try and see how that changes things. Good suggestion.

Thanks again.

I think this would make a great large print if the resolution is there! BTW..that not a ladybug

I like the concept and the square crop of the flower is good. I wish that the bug was not so centered and the body posture perhaps may have been better. Hope not to sound like a critique forum

keep 'em coming.

Loupey/Paulnj:

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it very much. I don't know one bug from another so I will take your word on the lady bug. If it isn't a house fly or a daddy long legs, it is beyond me.
