Hi Guys,
I need some advice on a digital camera to buy for my business. I want to showcase my products online ( soaps, hair care products, etc) and I'm unsure what digital camera would be the best to capture the best image. I already own a Samsung 4mp digimax and that is pretty much useless for detail & overall quality. I would really appreaciate some input as i am a total novice when it comes to world of photography.
Cheers

P.S. I am willing to spend up to US$1000

The hardest part of product photography is lighting. If you know what you're doing, you can make good photos for the Web with almost any camera. So it may be that your camera is just fine and you only need to learn some technique. That said, there are a lot of very nice, very powerful cameras that you could buy for well under $1000 US. Maybe you could post some sample photos that you've taken with your Samsung and tell us what you don't like about them. That will help us give you some photo technique advice and possibly narrow down the camera choices if you do decide to buy a new one. No matter what, we can help :)
